I called it MET Madness because I combined three of the most metabolically demanding movements that required only a pull-up bar and a kettlebell.  MET is an acronym for "metabolic equivalent of task" and is a measure of exercise intensity based on oxygen consumption; 1 MET is the amount of oxygen a person consumes (or energy expended) per unit of bodyweight during 1 minute of rest.  Kettlebell snatches, pull-ups, and push-ups are very high in energy expenditure due the multi-joint action and need to manipulate one's bodyweight.
