Tim Kettenring is a performance specialist and the owner of Valhalla Performance. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), a Level 1 Sports Performance Coach with USA Weightlifting, and a Level 1 Certified Track & Field Coach with USA Track & Field. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Louisiana College where he played football and earned All-Conference honors as a punt returner in 2005.
Tim's passion for human performance grew from being an undersized high school athlete who, once introduced to a well-designed strength and speed program, was able to level the playing field and excel against larger athletes. Tim uses human performance training as a tool to teach athletes and people of all walks of life how strong of a correlation work ethic has with success in sport and life. Tim also uses his experience training athletes to apply the same principles to "everyday athletes" who he trains to feel better, move better, and perform better in their everyday lives.
Tim has experience working with athletes of all levels and sports. Some of Tim's NFL clientele includes Curtis Lofton, Dannell Ellerbe, Josh Rounds, Kenneth Dixon, Brandon Deaderick, Ben Grubbs, Bryce Harris, and Taurean Nixon. He has also designed and implemented performance programs for middle school, high school, and collegiate athletes and teams.
Tim is actively involved in the veterans community volunteering his time as chapter captain for the New Orleans Team Red, White, and Blue chapter.
In Norse Mythology, Valhalla is the "hall of the fallen" where the god Odin allows entrance to warriors who have passed on and who he deems worthy. Once in Valhalla, these warriors train, fight, and prepare for an apocalyptic battle called Ragnarok. Valhalla is also the name of the football training facility at Pampa High School in Pampa, Texas where Tim's passion for human performance developed. Valhalla prepared warriors to excel in battle and Valhalla Performance prepares everyday warriors to excel in life.
